This was the first time going there after hearing about it from a few friends. Decided to try it out on a Friday night for dinner and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great crowd was good and you can tell that they have a great clientele. Our server was super friendly, checked on us frequently and ensure that we were taken care of. As for food, it was amazing. Placed an order for appetizers and they came out super quick our main dishes, which were the two pizzas took a normal amount of time and tasted great! We left with full stomach’s and leftovers for the next day.
Hosted a surprise birthday party here and everything was amazing from planning to service to the food! We cannot recommend La Pizzeria Metro enough! The absolute best in the business! The monkey hill pizza is the best ever trust me and thank me later!
My personal favorite pizza spot, authentic pizza and a nice atmosphere, their appetizers are also very good. I love their wings and garlic knots and the presentation of the food is immaculate. Unfortunately they don't deliver far as I know.
Life-changing. Once you try their wood fired pizza you'll never want pizza from any other place again. All of the ingredients in their pizza are perfectly blended well so you taste everything all at once regardless of how many toppings. Everything's all natural that's why I'm not experiencing any heartburn and that's a plus. From now on, I will only get pizza from La Pizzeria Metro. Definitely 10 out of 10.
My now-wife and I chose Metro as our rehearsal dinner space (we already loved their pizza and had gone several times) and they were fantastic. They truly made the night feel special with excellent food, standout presentation, and top-tier service. They were great at taking what we had in mind and turning it to a reality that fit our budget. The space was also really nice for our group.
My husband and I love La Pizzeria Metro. We visited the first week it opened a few years ago and hadn’t been back until the start of this summer (2023). It quickly became our favorite pizza spot locally. We love the personal size of the pizzas, and the options available. I am a vegetarian so pizza is a number one option for me. I think the prices are great for the amount of food and the taste. It’s a very nice bar, and the servers are great. We have become regulars and the servers and hosts remember our faces which is really nice to see when you are a local. My husband actually says this place is his favorite pizza around. He gets The Market Street. We will definitely keep coming, and we enjoy the friendly faces. The only draw back can be kids because they can get loud, but that is what it is. Thank you for being a great neighborhood spot.
The best pizza in Wilmington for years. Always a pleasure and now they will text you when your pizza is done - no longer sitting on a shelf because they cooked it faster than predicted.
Not only is this my favorite pizza shop because of the different flavors for everyone and the friendly staff, but La Pizzeria helped us host my friend’s Engagement Party which turned out to be a beautiful night with a great aesthetic. The staff is awesome and seem excited to serve customers! Not pictured are all the different cocktails available!! They have a great drink menu for everyone’s taste. I personally love their dessert cocktails. I wish this place the best and hope they continue to thrive :)
